Project Manager – Solar
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar PV projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage solar projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate technical and managerial aspects of solar PV projects.
- Develop and maintain project management plans, including schedules and budgets.
- Address project deviations and implement changes to meet objectives.
- Review and manage EPC and subcontractor contracts to protect company interests.
- Negotiate contracts, change orders, and agreements with EPC subcontractors and vendors.
- Liaise with utilities and regulatory bodies regarding interconnection, permitting, and compliance.
- Ensure the availability and allocation of necessary resources.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Over five years of experience in the Solar PV industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in contract and project risk management.
- Experienced in negotiations and conflict resolution.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
- Capable of influencing and collaborating with project stakeholders.
