Job Summary:
The Offshore Crew Coordinator is responsible for managing the logistics and administration of personnel for various oil and gas and wind maintenance projects. This role ensures that all crew are properly scheduled, qualified, and prepared for their assignments, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of offshore maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Crew Management:
• Coordinate the scheduling and deployment of crew to various offshore maintenance units.
• Ensure all crew have the necessary certifications, qualifications, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of crew assignments, rotations, and availability.
• Logistics Coordination:
• Arrange travel, accommodation, and transportation for crew.
• Handle visa applications, work permits, and other travel-related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communication:
• Liaise with platform/vessel managers, project teams, and recruitment agencies to ensure adequate staffing.
• Provide joining instructions and necessary information to crew members.
• Address any disputes or grievances that may arise among the crew.
• Training and Development:
• Implement and coordinate training programs to ensure crew members are up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
• Monitor and evaluate crew performance, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Administrative Support:
• Track and verify all travel-related expenses and invoices.
• Assist with office administration tasks and provide support to the Office Manager when required.
• Maintenance Coordination:
• Ensure crew members are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisors to align crew schedules with project timelines.
• Monitor and report on the progress of maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in crewing or a related field, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in crew management software and systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English; additional languages can be an advantage.
Working Conditions:
• Office-based with occasional travel to offshore sites.
• May require working outside regular business hours to coordinate with offshore schedules.
